The first several years I was in this industry, I NEVER told anyone (offline) that I was in MLM or network marketing. I just couldn’t imagine saying, “I work from home with ‘Goofy Name’ mlm company that sells the next best juice!” I knew that no one would care; and, they would probably start running every time they saw me coming.

Then, one day a couple years ago, I was getting my haircut and my hairdresser asked me what I did from home. I said something like, “I work with Beachbody; you may have seen some of their fitness programs on TV like P90X, Turbo Jam or Hip Hop Abs.”

She said, (paraphrasing) “Your kidding me, I love Chalene Johnson! Can I get her new program Chalean Extreme from you?”

I was shocked but of course placed the order. A few days later she called me and said her friend wanted to order P90X. Needless to say, since then I tell everyone I meet that I work from home. Working from home is a dream for most people and so they almost always ask me more about it.
