Great advice! I'm currently working on generating passive income on demand. So far, it has only been about 2 months since I started and I'm already making $500+ a month with just a few hours of work each week. If you're wondering how this possible, check out this webinar where John Crestani shares his $1.5M formula which helped him become a 7 figure marketer. This free webinar completely transformed my mindset while showing me how to build an online business from the ground up. Watch the replay here: http://clickmetertracking.com/johncrestaniwebinar
You could also sell a service that complements your products or that your customers might need before or after using your product. Your garden tools sales site, for example, could offer landscaping consultations with professional landscapers. Next, you could find products available to drop ship that complement your main product. Maybe your new garden tool owners will need other items for their garden. Find a drop shipper that offers bird feeders or garden gloves, and arrange to offer those products for sale on your site.
I surprisingly get a lot of people asking to detail their car. I never intend to make a business of it, but I love doing it to my cars and people ask me to do it to theirs. All it takes is a cheap orbital buffer (mines a used craftsman) and a shop vac. I normally get easily $100 for a basic wash/wax/vac, or $200 to remove scratches and polish then wax the car.
And let’s be honest, it’s not just about protecting your wallet, it’s about protecting your heart. Joining a program that you can’t implement right away is demoralising. You start to doubt yourself. You procrastinate over decisions and sometimes fail to act at all. Before you know it you’re all caught up in a shame spiral and kicking yourself for the money and time you wasted.
eBay: eBay is one of the most popular websites in the world, period. That means it’s a great way to attract lots of eyeballs to your unwanted items, fast. Initially designed as an auction site for DIY sellers, it’s now primarily a venue for fixed-price (though often heavily discounted) sales by professional merchants. Still, as long as you include high-quality photographs and thorough descriptions in your product listings, you can likely break through the noise. eBay’s fee schedule is complex, but as a general rule, expect to lose 10% of your final selling price to the site’s commission.
For some people, work just has to be in an office, factory, store, or any other environment that’s separate from home. Even a second job would have to be in a separate place. For others, a home office is a welcome place for a secondary or even a primary job. If you’re one of those people, you have some unique opportunities, but you also have some very particular challenges of working from home.
We all know you can buy and sell stuff on Craigslist, but have you ever thought about offering a service you can provide. If providing a service isn’t your thing, you can scan Craigslist for great deals and then later resell items for a profit. This takes persistence and patience, but I have a friend who went from a $4k truck to a $24k in truck in 18 months by flipping cars from Craigslist.
Shipping. You will only have a few days to ship a book after it sells, and even less time if you agree to include two-day or overnight shipping as part of your options. And since you’ll want to save as much as you can on the shipping, you’ll have to devise a plan. Many people set aside specific days for shipping – say 3 days a week – and then make one big trip to the post office. As long as there isn’t anything else in the package, you can send books via media mail, which is the least expensive option. Finally, your books will need to be packaged in a way that they won’t get damaged in transit.
5. Sell ad space. Once your site has lots of highly targeted traffic, or a large, targeted opt-in list, you may be able to sell advertising. Advertisers are willing to buy ads when they're being directed at large numbers of their target market. Nowadays, though, advertising revenues are a lot less than they used to be, so I don't recommend you plan on making this your sole source of income. Selling ad space can be a great additional profit stream, but it's unlikely to keep your business afloat on its own.
