Growing up most people dream of being famous. But truth is, not everyone can sing or act. Fortunately, you can still build a personal brand around yourself based on what you can do. Maybe you have a really cool fashion sense or can bake an awesome cake. On Instagram, anyone can start a side hustle by becoming an influencer. If you don’t like the spotlight, that’s cool. You can build an Instagram following around your dog or your photography. You can monetize your Instagram account in a couple of ways: sponsored posts, Instagram takeovers or selling a product on your website.
Direct Sales Home Businesses – Host “parties” at your home to get discounts and a little cash, or become an independent sales rep yourself to make even more money.  Many of them offer online shops that you can set up under your name.  Some of the most popular ones are:   Avon, Mary Kay, Tupperware, Thirty-One Gifts, or Pampered Chef; there are also numerous companies selling candles, jewelry, children’s books, children’s clothes, etc.)
If you have a day job or have connections that could lead to a conflict of interest with your side hustle then it is not a good idea to continue with it. Sometimes the best advice is to try something else or to shelf your idea for another time so that you don’t end up doing something you regret. Starting a side hustle with a conflict of interest could lead to costing lessons learned.
If you enjoy working from your laptop, then becoming a virtual assistant may be exactly what you need. We use a few virtual assistants for Money Peach and one of them earns over $10,000 per month as a VA. Other places where you can become a virtual assistant for an agency where they find work for your is Upwork. They take a 10% fee, but 90% is still a great side hustle.
Okay, so you won't make money that fast with a blog. But, if you start a blog and deliver enormous amounts of value, you could set yourself up with a platform for ending a tremendous amount of passive income. This is something you can easily build on the side with just a few hours of work per week, but you need to stay consistent and post great content regularly.
Finally, start an affiliate program to promote your site. You could do all your selling yourself . . . but why would you? Think about it--you boost your visibility when your affiliates start publicizing your site, you gain credibility with your affiliates' customers, and you simply make more sales! And in a sales model site, that's your ultimate goal.
There are also shopping apps like ibotta, MobiSave, and checkout 21 that give you money back for shopping. And the Walmart app has a savings catcher feature where you take a picture of the barcode or upc at the bottom of your receipt and they search all surrounding store and if a lower price is found they give you the difference back. I have made about 50 bucks total from this app and 20-30 from things like ibotta.

I created an “Every Day I’m Hustling” shirt and sold enough for the campaign to ship, but didn’t earn much on the experiment because of some not-very-effective Facebook advertising. Still, some opportunity here and a friend of mine is doing REALLY well with this. If you can create awesome designs and reach the right people with good Facebook targeting, Teespring can be very profitable.
I have been considering trying number 5, baking cookies and desserts for people. I have a huge sweet tooth so its already something I like doing. I just wonder how much time this would consume and how much money someone could actually make. I could put an ad online or in the paper and offer to bake goods for parties and events. Maybe one day I’ll actually try it.
Before you really roll up your sleeves and monetize your personal or professional skills, why not right-size your life? Selling your unwanted stuff is a great way to downsize and declutter your life while earning some income on the side. If you’re transitioning to full-time work-at-home status, that income could provide a critical boost to your plans for a proper home office, or allow you to maintain your lifestyle during lean times without resorting to voluntary simplicity.
If you sell an offline service, think about ways you could promote your service online. This can be effective no matter what service you offer. Whether you're a real estate agent, a doctor, a dentist, a lawyer, a landscaper or a hairdresser, you can use your Web site to sell your service. For example, you could take appointments through your site or create a promotional campaign online that directs visitors to your physical location.
Selection. One of the keys to success on Etsy is selection, according to industry insiders. In fact, the goal of most serious shop owners is to have at least 200 items for sale. If you’re creating all of those items yourself, that’s a pretty big time commitment. But the more options you give to your customers, the higher the chances that you’ll make a sale.
If you would like an editor for articles such as this, I would be happy to be employed in that capacity. The truth is that whether you would like an editor or not, you need one. Take number thirty-nine for example. I believe the word meant to be used was “connotation.” “Annotation” has an entirely different meaning. Whether you hire me or not, I do enjoy your articles and will continue reading them. Thanks!

Take note, it’s a UNIVERSITY, not a bootcamp that dumps a ton of information onto you and then leaves you hanging. University educations usually take 3-4 years to complete, and this is no different. (Frankly I’m irritated by ‘gurus’ who claim you can create an online business in 8 weeks. That’s utter bull! It might be long enough to get you started, but it can’t possibly come close to providing everything you need to grow a profitable business that’s going to generate you passive revenue for years to come). But don’t think that means you’re going to have to wait years to see results. The beauty of our Milestone Method is that you get results as you go. (And that’s the secret sauce keeping you motivated and engaged on your online business journey)
Helpful list! I know I personally have had great success earning income at home teaching English online! Easily fits with my mom life and brings in great side income! I remember reading this list of yours 6 months ago and it assured me there are great options out there for everyone. So glad I found a good fit for me. Thanks for putting info like this out there!
But the really great thing about the sales model is that once you have your main revenue stream running smoothly, you can add every single other profit stream I mentioned above in order to diversify your income and explode your profits! For example, let's say you run a small business that manufactures garden tools. When you set up your sales site, you can sell your own product (garden tools), earning the largest profit margin. This should be your main source of income, so make sure you focus on this first.
